The Perseverance of Love

 

The Perseverance of Love: This piece is acrylic paint and pen on wood, depicts a skull torn, to reveal beneath a rose. I created this to explore the concept of mortality, and how grief effects our perspectives on love and attachment, but to also highlight the opposite side, that grief is just the perseverance of love.
